The First Amendment

Wow! Where do I start? Yes, let’s start with the 1st amendment. Why did our forefathers put this one first? Because it is that important! When laying the basic foundation of our government, this is what they thought MOST important. This is my 5th post. I have outlined my opinion, my prospective, my concerns and now my rebuttal. Have I at any point, threatened, slandered or made any type of false accusation? We in America may ask any question of our public official? They represent us. King George III would have taken Thomas Jefferson’s head given the chance. What high treason have I committed? I voice my opinion and allow others to comment and for that I should fear my personal well being or life? I’ll touch more or that later.

Although I have only expressed my opinion, prospective, concerns and now rebuttal, I am advised that an investigation into my identity will lead to my physical harm. First of all, make certain you launch this investigation privately outside of sheriff’s office time and resources. Otherwise, I would strongly assert that this would not only be an abuse of power but down right illegal. Let me guide you on this issue. Secondly you want to make sure this is construed to the district’s office as a ‘criminal investigation’. After that and thirdly, contact your local cyber crime task force, sell them the oceanfront property in Arizona, and commence to laying out your paper trail. After this, do your search warrant for evidence, like you would actually find something. Fifth, get an attorney. Besides free speech, gun ownership and quartering soldiers, the other big thing on Thomas Jefferson’s mind was the 4th amendment.

You say, “Someone is going to get "hurt". (not mentally but, physically or worse) It is not a matter of "if" something happens but, "when". Let me say this. If you have a loose cannon on your hands, this is something that you should be ready to deal with. This is not a site designed to destroy or tear anyone’s life apart. This is a site where people can ‘FREELY’ register their opinions. And from what I have observed, there are a lot of opinions. Just because these opinions are different from yours doesn’t mean you dispatch your legions to squash the very law giving “We the People” a voice.

The way I see it Sheriff you have three choices. First, you can illegally call on your powers to identify me. Do you not think that I have given this some thought? Do you really want to shake this tree? I will be entitled to serve my own subpoenas, call for depositions, call witnesses and put YOU on the stand. I will guarantee most of the IP addresses are referenced FROM the sheriff’s office. This is a mighty big tree.

Second, you can follow through on your threats. However, don’t think I haven’t taken my precautions. If I get killed in a car wreck, get hit by a bus, get struck by lightning or slip on a banana peel, be ready for the full onslaught of investigators.

Or, lastly, you can sit behind your desk, meet with your administration on what should be done next, in the end do nothing, and let freedom of speech be shouted in its 235th year.

  3. “A November Rescue”

On the spot where Canaday once stood
He told young Brad Riley to learn all he could.
“I’ll be leaving soon and then you will be
Leading this place, think kindly of me.”

And so the time came when Brad led us on
Not long until rumors and disaster would dawn.
He liked a young girl so he’d cheat on his wife
Then forgot the Commandments and sin took over his life.

There’s been sex parties and orgies, hiring strippers, and fights
Did he know about it all, he’s the big guy, your damn right!
He laughed, asked for details, “leave nothing out”,
“I’ll say later ‘I didn’t know, they will believe me, who would doubt?’”

When you ignore the problems and hope they’ll just go away,
You tell lie after another and still they will stay.
Move Hunt to be chief, did you think that would help?
Let Cindy mow down Crystal, now karmas been dealt.

Enoch loans out uniforms so friends can play cops.
Then pulls over chicks, Man your office rocks!
I’m low on cash, you know what sounds fun?
I’ll stop buy later today, can I borrow your gun?

You’d think it would hit Brad to bow out of the race.
You’ve been such a loser, “The Sheriff Disgraced!”
But no, stick in there, could things really get worse?
Oh definitely you bastard! You’ve been but a curse.

All your employees say, “We have stories to tell.
W orking for you is ‘like living in hell’.
You point your finger, recite the bible, and rant and rave,
That only the suck-ups will have jobs and be saved.”

You’ve fired a deputy on duty for having sex in her car.
Racial statements made about another deputy’s wife, any discipline? None so far.
The real and loyal deputies work hard to sew the “trust us” seeds.
While Riley’s out interviewing with Homeland Security, you’ve got so much greed.

Disgrace and shame is all you have brought.
No criminals lately have been focused on, or caught.
All the attention is now aimed solely on Brad,
Look at the office you’ve created, you bastard, how sad.

No tranquilizer training, Dumb Ass Austin, Bella the Dog,
Hunt’s Dicky Doo, Riley swelling like a hog.
I’ve been told to watch on Facebook, and for pictures I look,
“Keep Riley’s Pecker In His Pants” is that the motto he’s took?

Thomas tased a man, who was up in a tree.
Riley says, no big deal, quiet this shall be.
EMT’s show up promptly and remove prongs from his head
Thomas laughs with Brad Riley, “No harm done, he’s not dead.”

Now the man is paralyzed that was tased in the tree.
Riley says “He just fell. Don’t blame this on me.”
“For why would a man climb a tree not to jump?
Does it really matter, he was only a drunk.”

All’s gone to hell, a November rescue is what we need
Citizens of Cabarrus vote someone better, we plea.
Cabarrus County to be safe, order restored is our dream.
With David Graham as our new Sheriff, in November we will be!

  5. Yea, Riley you might win this election, but your life is basically ruined. You have done too many people wrong. If you think the last few weeks have been bad, you have no idea what is in store for you in the weeks and months to come.

KEEP RILEY'S PECKER IN HIS PANTS

  6. KEEP YOUR WIFES PECKER IN HER PANTS. RILEY IS STILL THE MAN TO BEAT AND YOU EVEN SAY IT YOURSELF THAT HE MIGHT WIN THIS ELECTION. NOT CONFIDENT HUH, WELL WITH THAT BEING SAID LET'S KEEP RILEY FOR SHERIFF 2010!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. The message above shows how confused the writer is. Not only is he supporting Riley, but he thinks wives have peckers. He must be sleeping with a dude! Yo, a little heads-up, that ain't a woman Deputy!

  8. Riley, give up and take your family and move away. Haven't you put them through enough? Don't you think they hear the whispering going around? What does your own parents have to say? Or your in-laws? Have some balls, protect your family, bow out and leave. That is what a true husband and family would do to take care of his wife and kids. And maybe you will have a little dignity left.

  12. I think Riley will win due to the fact that he has a well oiled political machine, that is backed by the good old boy system. A lot of back scratching goes on. Riley and Roxann are basically in bed together...would not surprise me if they really are. Then you have Bill Baggs, Justin Thibault, Jay white....and so on, you get the picture?

He will not win because he is the man that is most qualified for the job. That is a fact. He will win because he is a sleazy politician that has padded himself through intimidation and fear. The man has been arrested for god sake....He is no cop, he is a criminal.

KEEP RILEY'S PECKER IN HIS PANTS....

  14. Well, I have been reading this blog for a while now. Seems to me there are some simple solutions. First, if any employee of the sheriff department is sooooooo un-happy with your job then by all means leave. Get out!! There are plenty of people who want to work and will appreciate a job.....even when it is tough. Second, there seems to be a lot of concern over jail over-crowding. While I agree it isn't the best circumstance, lets face it, IT'S JAIL! I mean did he really give any care at all to the people he hurt by breaking the law?? Did he consider for one second how his actions would effect their circumstances.....of course not, because he's selfish. If he wanted to sleep in his own bed and eat his mom's cooking then maybe he should have followed the law, instead of breaking it! Third,....Bella! The first problem with that whole thing is, the guy BROKE THE LAW!!! There is a leash law in the county....follow it! He wants someone to blame, look in your mirror. If your dog had been up like it was supposed to be, then it would still be here. I do have pity for the ones that have sent him money though. Eventually they are going to feel foolish when all his legal woes are made public and they see what their money really went for. Even though I sadly think some will not care that he has further broken the law.....there will be no concern for some that have been hurt by him.....just so long as we still mourn the death of a dog! I have a question.....has anyone once asked how the people are that the dog went after? Why hell no.....they don't matter! Think about folks......have you been kept safe by the actions of Cabarrus County Sheriff? I for one have and Sheriff Riley has my vote. I cant throw any stones at him, I live in a glass house.......as do all of us!!

    ReplyDelete
  15. So you condone a Sheriff with a criminal record and has affairs? I bet that would make your wife just thrilled to hear....lousy.

And the jail is a huge ordeal, that is going to come with a lot of consequences. If Riley actually did his job it would not be a issue. But i guess his 30 hours a week at the Sheriff's Department, and his weekly friday golf is enough to keep you satisfied.

I agree on the bella incident.

And there are way to many deputies that hate their job. But they can not quit, what the hell would they do? Pick up their families and move elsewhere. Come on now. Another dumb comment by someone that condones Sheriff Riley. I dont care who his replacement is, but I really hope he gets this job in DC and gets the hell out of cabarrus county.

  18. You people who want to keep Riley in office have no idea how much better things would be with David Graham in office. I used to work at CMPD for many years. Graham is a top notch professional with a great deal of integrity. Any police department or sheriff's office would be blessed to have him. Take it from someone who has seen what Graham is all about. It would be Cabarrus County's loss.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I agree. Charlotte should have taken him or Putney as the new chief over clueless, unethical Rodney Monroe. Monroe and Riley are almost identical. The whole idea of only hiring a chief from out of state does not make sense to me.

You see how Rodney Monroe took a top 10 police force in the nation and has brought it down to Atlanta's level. Sheriff Riley is not capable of making Cabarrus a better place. He has peaked at a very low level of leadership.

  23. The CMPD had an excellent reputation around the country before Chief Monroe and David Graham was a part of that and understood what it took to be on top. Cabarrus County does NOT have that same reputation. You would have to be in law enforcement and travel the county attending management conferences to know which departments are well thought of. I know, I've been around the country. I've been to the law enforcement management conferences. So many people keep saying, "Keep Riley, keep Riley"...Why? Why would you want to keep someone sheriff who has made no progress in the law enforcement community for Cabarrus County. Do you just assume he is doing a good job? Is it just that he is you friend? This election is about Cabarrus County citizens and what is best for Cabarrus County. David Graham is much more qualified than Riley. Graham knows how to make a police department the best and he has proven that in Charlotte.

There are going to be bad police officers in every department. You cannot blame it on a particular person, Riley or Graham. Every department has bad officers who slip through the cracks, that's just the way it is.
